When guests check into the Burj Al Arab hotel, they will now receive 24-carat gold iPads. These fancy tablets have the hotel’s logo on them and come with special software that lets guests access information about the hotel and use services like private dining and housekeeping.
The Burj Al Arab calls this software a “virtual concierge,” and it’s the first hotel to offer it. The general manager thinks these gold iPads make the guest experience even better. They also have iMacs in all the suites.
These iPads were made by a company called Gold & Co London, and they’re considered very luxurious. However, unlike the fancy toiletries guests can take home, these gold iPads need to be returned when guests check out.
